05/03/11 A demonstration of the CyberQuad micro UAV and Bramor mini UAS was performed in Montelibretti (Roma). During a rainy day the CyberQuad did perform a stable autonomous flight as shown in the video.
The Bramor mini UAS autonomously flew over the airfield area and showing the capabilities of its autonomous target tracking on fixed and moving object as shown in the video.
04/03/11 A demonstration for the Italian Air Force was performed in conjunction with the "Reparto Gestione ed Innovazione Sistemi di Comando e Controllo (Re.G.I.S.C.C.)" in the military base of Furbara (Roma). The demo successfully proved the capabilities of area clearance and surveillance using the micro UAV by ERMES. The drone was used for a short range recognition starting from a temporary base camp: during the flight a potential enemy was detected and the real time images were used to guide the ground forces to clear the area. The drone also successfully followed the suspect vehicle until possible.
The test has demonstrated the capability to integrate the small drone with the light equipment of a ground force.
The Bramor mini UAV did fly during the test and its flying capabilities were demonstrated
The day before the strong wind over 20 knots was not a limit for the micro UAV by ERMES (se the video).
25/01/11 A counter IED demo was performed in the center of excellence for counter-IED (improvvise explosive devices) in Rome. ERMES flew its drone and was able to detect and follow a suspect thin cable. A close aerial flight allowed the operator to detect an explosive device underneath the main road.
21/12/2010: The ERMES drones are present at the flasmob in Milan. Come and see the VTOL in flight during the whole day, or visit our Youtube channel.
14/12/2010: The Cyberquad VTOL UAV was succesfully presented in the italian Air Force base. The UAV was integrated in the advanced human interface developed by the R&D department of the Italian Air Force.
08/12/2010: We are in Slovenja with our C-Astral partner to discuss of next year important events and demonstrations. Stay connected for more updates.

Zoom look to a detail (optical zoom).
A suspect cable is noted: the UAV is maneuvered in order to follow the cable.
The cable terminates into a tunnel under the road.
A low level flight allow the operator to be sure that inside the tunnel there is an explosive device

The base camp Command and Control center receives the real time images from the drone and maintains the contact with the ground forces.
A frame captured by the micro UAV shows the level of details which is reachable with the ERMES' drone in autonomous flight (GPS based).
The vehicle is moving and the micro UAV is following closely. The control is performed by the Ground Control Station by a GPS guidance.
